Botanical Monitoring
Vegetation monitoring enables land managers to systematically measure the responses of plants and vegetation to a management action and to determine whether or not it has been effective. This allows them to progressively modify their management practices until they are achieving the best result possible.
Rigby Jerram Ecological Consultants have been involved in a variety of monitoring projects, some connected to the management of nature reserves and others which form part of the conditions of the planning permissions of developments.
A variety of monitoring methods can be used, ranging from quick and simple assessments to detailed quadrat sampling.
