Phase 1 Habitat Survey

This is the principal habitat survey required for most planning applications. Phase 1 survey provides a map of the habitats present on the site as well as a description of each habitat, presenting the user with a basic description of the site, whilst also highlighting features of particular interest in the form of target or site notes.

An experienced surveyor can conduct Phase 1 Habitat Surveys all year round, however, the best time is spring and summer (April – September). It is always advisable to contact an ecologist early in the planning process, so that surveys can be scheduled to best meet your needs.

Rigby Jerram has over thirty years experience of conducting Phase 1 Habitat Surveys.

We undertake Phase 1 Habitat Surveys of both small developments and large scale surveys of route corridors for infrastructure projects and multi-site surveys and audits.
