The company has been involved in a wide range of ecological work, from Environmental Impact Assessment of major roads schemes and quarries, vegetation surveys of extensive areas of moorland, fine scale surveys of complex sites, devising and conducting vegetation monitoring schemes, nature reserve management planning, technical authorship and representation at public inquiry, to the training of personnel in vegetation survey techniques.
Rigby Jerram is a leading expert in vegetation mapping, particularly at National Vegetation Classification level. He is also a leading authority on upland habitats and is co-author of the English Nature Upland Management Handbook.
