Shapfell Quarry

Rigby Jerram Ecological Consultants were part of a multi-discipline team providing technical input into the Environmental Statement accompanying a planning application for the deepening of Shapfell Limestone Quarry for Corus (later Tata).

We provided Corus/Tata with:

• advice on scoping
• undertook baseline surveys
• coordination of specialist baseline surveys
• authored ecological sections of the ES
• provided advice on the Habitats Regs. and Appropriate Assessment
• helped develop mitigation measures
